Family Support

We provide educational support that provides a safe and confidential space for individuals and/or families to ask questions about dementia and/or caring for someone with a dementia, to discuss coping strategies, and to obtain information. Our staff are trained and knowledgeable about what it is like to live with a dementia. We are able to meet with you at the Alzheimer Society office or even in you home. It’s where you are most comfortable.

Benefits of supportive sessions:

  • Learn practical suggestions and strategies to better understand and cope with your own or a family members dementia
  • Discover your personal options and preferences to plan for the future
  • Discuss personal circumstances and feelings that you might be experiencing
  • Learn about community resources, such as support groups, respite options and adult day programs

If you would like to speak with a staff member, you may contact us at (807) 468-1516 to book an appointment or to receive supportive information by phone.
